“ Si vas a Calatayud, pregunta por la Dolores “
La Dolores is a famous personage in this city located in the province of Saragossa and she became so famous that there are operas and zarzuelas written to her and they created a museum with her name: The Museum of the Dolores. But this is a story for another post.
Today I’m talking about Calatayud because I’ve been working there for a weekend and I came across a wonderful place called Monasterio de Piedra, a natural park.
A marvel that we can consider two in one since inside the park there is a monastery of the thirteenth century which, in addition to its historical ruins, also houses the Museum of Wine. After visiting the monastery, the visit to the park is almost mandatory. There is a tourist route for 17 waterfalls, each one more beautiful than the previous one, among other wonders like lakes and mountains of colors. Depending on the time of the year, birds of prey flights can be seen. All this is 200 km far from Madrid. That is, it is possible to go and return on the same day for those who do not have much time. Here I leave the link for more details about the park and its charms.
