La Manga del Mar Menor, Cabo de Palos, Calblanque

Video Comment

There is no glamor, no luxury and no fame …. So are La Manga del Mar Menor and Cabo de Palos.

But…

The two sites have lovely beaches, with transparent and warm waters. Of course, we are talking about the Costa Calida (warm coast). The Mediterranean is the king of the seas and its transparent waters, hot and with impressive visibility, attracts thousands and thousands of tourists every year to this piece of land in the Province of Murcia.

THE MAR MENOR X THE MEDITERRANEAN

The Mar Menor, which is on one side of the strip of land known as La Manga, is a pool without waves and hot water. From 6:00 in the morning until sunset on 21:00, it is a constant invitation to go swimming.

On the other side of the strip of land is the Mediterranean sea, where from 6:15 a.m. in the morning you can see the sunrise which is wonderful and invites us to take a dip very soon. On this side there are some waves but it is not exactly a beach for surfers.

Portuguese, English, French, Russians and many other nationalities have already discovered this paradise, unlike the Spaniards who perhaps for some prejudices, do not know much the site.

CABO DE PALOS

In this city, the beaches are more moved. The water remains transparent and according to some experts is the best site in Spain to dive. Maybe from Europe … Besides having a nature that greatly embellishes the area, it is a place for exploratory walks through its mountains and deserted beaches. There is also a beach called Playa del Levante which is ideal for water sports.

CALBLANQUE NATURAL PARK

This is a place we can say that PARADISE IS HERE !!

I usually say it’s my private paradise. I have been visiting this place for four years and each time I feel more impressed with the beauty of the beaches, the trails and the nature.

It is a natural park, protected ecologically with an overdose of exuberant nature.

Due to environmental protection, nowadays you can not reach these beaches by car. You have to park it in the parking lot at the entrance of the park, take one of the buses according to the beach that we have chosen and enjoy the day. Buses run every 15 to 20 minutes. They leave people on the beach and return to their point of origin. And so it is throughout the day. The price of the ticket is 3 euros if you want to go and return. If not, you pay 2 euros and you are entitled to one trip.

The two possibilities of the bus routes are excellent. The first one leaves us on a smaller piece of beach if we take the SALINAS trip. The second option leaves us on a very large beach with several beaches and we have to choose the path MONTE DE LAS CENIZAS.

In either case, the two options are very good. There are small beaches that can be explored if we are willing to take a hike.

The park is about 15 minutes from Cabo de Palos or from the entrance of La Manga del Mar Menor.

I leave here more information about the Calblanque.
